PRIMARY school children in Aberdeenshire and Glasgow came together to take part in free running events on May 10 and 11, organised by GO Run For Fun, the events saw 1180 children participate in total, aged between five and 10.
Partnering with Aberdeenshire Council and Glasgow City Council, GO Run For Fun welcomed 35 primary schools from across Scotland at Aden County Park, Aberdeenshire and Robroyston Park, Glasgow to tackle the 2 kilometre routes.
Running initiative GO Run For Fun held its first free UK event of the year in Hull on 24 April, inviting 1100 local primary school children to take part in a run and learn more about living a healthy lifestyle.
Aged between 5 and 10, children from 21 primary schools* across the Humber area came together at Brantingham Park, home to the Hull Ionians Rugby team, to tackle the 2 kilometre route. Interest was high, with many more schools on a waiting list alongside the schools already involved.
