Bloomsbury Education have very kindly provided QA Education magazine with a collection of four fabulous new titles, which we are giving away to one lucky reader!

Kingsley Napley LLP is delighted to announce the launch of The Legal Apprentice, a nationwide competition, in conjunction with The Times, which invites year-12 pupils from all 4,168 secondary schools across the UK to compete to win a place as a solicitor apprentice at the London-based law firm.     The brainchild of Stephen Parkinson, Kingsley Napley’s newly-appointed Senior Partner, The Legal Apprentice embodies Stephen’s and the firm’s desire to expand legal career opportunities to students from non-traditional backgrounds who are underrepresented in the profession.

Falcons School for Girls has hosted a series of innovative nutrition-focused activities, as part of an awareness programme living a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  
 
The Putney-based school launched the topical programme with a fun competition. Girls at the school really enjoyed designing a healthy three-course meal including a starter, a main meat dish and main vegetarian dish, before their culinary delights were put forward to a panel of judges.
 

Sofa giant launches nationwide search for young designer

Art of Technology Schools competition shows dramatic changes in kids’ creative thinking as technology embeds deeper 

 

A national UK study into children’s attitudes to technology has provided clear evidence that children are incorporating computing into their individual inner worlds and have found another way of playing and imagining which accommodates the change.

5 Pupils have been shortlisted in a national competition to win £5000 for their school to spend with Viking and a Cannon EOS 1200D package for themselves worth £346 (Inc VAT).

The competition, run by Viking the provider of everyday essentials to schools, encouraged pupils to utilise their imagination, and expand their vision of the potential advancements to their everyday stationery items in the classroom. Pupils had the choice of inventing a design for their classroom that was either fun, futuristic or eco-friendly.

Primary school pupils are being invited to take part in a Wonka-inspired competition, and use new digital resources, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Roald Dahl this week.

Discovery Education is challenging pupils to step into the shoes of Willy Wonka by designing their very own ‘frothbuggling’ sweet or chocolate, taking inspiration from the fantastical creations of the fictional chocolatier.

TARLETON COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL has been crowned Last Choir Singing 2016 Winner – winning Lancashire’s foremost school singing competition title at the Grand Final event held at King George’s Hall on 17 June. 

Over 1,500 singers from 50 school choirs entered the competition this year in heats which took place across the County. Ten finalists were whittled down from five heats to make it to the Grand Final.
