Teal's Kiddiwash clean hands competition winner revealed

TEAL Patents’ Kiddiwash Clean Hands competition, exclusive to nurseries across the UK, has announced its five winners with each set to receive a Kiddiwash Xtra - a portable, warm water, hand washing basin which requires no access to mains water or drainage.

Forest School at Garstang Nursery and Pre-school, Futurepath Childcare, M Lindsay Childcare, Roxwell Pre-school and Tweenies Pre-school were all named winners of the competition. Each nursery tasked their pupils with drawing their idea of a sparkling, clean hand for a chance to win the child-friendly handwashing unit for their nursery.

Creativity was key with each of the winning entries using coloured pens and pencils, paint, crayons, gems and glitter to creatively decorate their perfectly clean hands.

Designed to raise awareness of the importance of good hand hygiene and provide a helping hand to nurseries in the UK, TEAL received over 100 creative entries to the Kiddiwash Clean Hands competition each depicting their own idea of a clean hand.

Pupils at M Lindsay Childcare are delighted
with their new Kiddiwash Xtra unit.

Manty Stanley, managing director at TEAL Patents, says: “We’re overwhelmed by the response we’ve had to our Kiddiwash Clean Hands competition and by the high standard of entries we’ve seen from nursery-aged pupils as young as three. As well as being educational, our Kiddiwash competition was a fun way to raise awareness about the importance of good hygiene – both to nursery pupils and staff.

Roxwell Pre-school won a Kiddiwash
Xtra unit with its representation of a
twinkly clean hand.

“Learning about hand washing at a young age is a lesson that will stay with someone for life. The Kiddiwash Xtra, is an enjoyable experience for children and it really gets them excited about washing their hands which, over time, will encourage a long-term hand washing habit.”

A Kiddiwash Xtra unit will be delivered to each school.
