Anti-Bullying School Design Competition

Anti-Bullying Themed Teepee Wins Primary School Design Competition

Chaucer Junior School in Ilkeston, Derbyshire have won a ‘Design a Teepee’ competition run by British lifestyle brand FieldCandy. The competition was open to primary schools in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire and challenged children to “get creative” and design their own teepee. The winning design was then turned into a Little Campers teepee - FieldCandy’s popular children's play tent.

Over 70 amazing entries were submitted, which were narrowed down to a shortlist of 7. FieldCandy staff were then invited to vote for their favourite in a poll. The prize was awarded to Evie Grace who is a member of Chaucer Junior School's Art Club, run by Art & Design Technology teacher Mrs Richardson. The children all created designs on the theme of “All Equal, All Different”, an anti-bullying message which the school champions. It was this powerful message combined with Evie’s colourful design which won over FieldCandy.
